What CAN you ask a CFO?

...But what SHOULD you ask a CFO?

A great question from a recent subscriber!

Here are some example questions from startups in CFO Group Office Hours, and from recent client calls:

  • Can I afford to hire another employee?

  • How can I delegate P&L management of a department to an employee so I'm not always the bottleneck?

  • How do I make my financial model easier to work with when talking to investors?

  • Should I pivot to bootstrapping since investors are going cold? Also, how do I even do that?

  • How do I decide if this project is worthwhile?

  • Should I take on a cofounder or partner?

  • What are my options for getting more cash into my business?

  • How do I respond to investors not believing numbers in my model?

  • Should I be investing the money in my business bank account?

  • Is it okay to pay myself more?

All perfect questions for a CFO!

Curious about any particular answers? Let me know! I'll address them in an upcoming note.
