What are you too busy for?

As a veteran business operator, I’ve had a lot of opportunities

To try, fail, and reflect on what I would have done differently.

Here’s a common theme I’ve found:

Often, the biggest challenge that causes me the most grief as a CEO

Is something that would have been easier

(Or not a problem at all)

If I’d only made time for it

Earlier.

If you're too busy to get to something, it's likely because either:

  1. It's NOT important, so you should delete or deprioritize it

  2. Or it's VERY important, but it's inconvenient to complete.

And the things that fall in category #2

Are the mini-landmines that set up your business

To fail.

Classic examples:

  • Creating a formal commercial strategy

  • Defining metrics and tracking plans

  • Getting customer feedback

  • Creating internal systems

  • Building team culture

  • ...The list goes on.

So ask yourself,

What are you too busy for today?

Because, it's either not important

Or it's a lesson learned

That you just haven't learned yet.
